So for those of you playing along, our IUI cycle was cancelled for this week because I've had the H1N1 virus (aka swine flu). I'm finally recovering from that nasty stuff & went for a follow up with my doctor today. Now she thinks I may have mono! WTH? I'm 41 years old! Even with all my kissing on boys growing up (and there was lots of it! ), I've never had mono!
I'm hoping, wishing & praying that this is not mono. Wonder how many cycles that would delay me? Geeeeeeeezzzzzzz
Re: It just never ends, huh?
the thing with mono is that the EBV virus never truly leaves. so if DH had had it, or you had had it at one point and didn't know it, your weakend immune system from H1N1 could have allowed for the virus to gain some activity.
mono sucks - i had it for 11 straight months once
glad you're feeling better and I hope that you're 100% soon!!!!

mono is a virus so you can't take antibiotics or anything. they'll give you special vitamins to help keep you healthy and give you more energy, but in essance you can get sick really easily while you have mono and taht's what kept happening to me. vicious vicious cycle!!

I got mono freshman year of college from the gal down the hall. The floor shared a communal bathroom and it just spread from there. I ended up passing it on to a classmate and she ended up in the hospital with a more severe case.
