what s/e did you experience?
if it worked how many follies did you produce?
did it affect your LP?
Thanks

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.

Re: please tell me all about clomid - yes, i know it is a newb ?
I'm probably a bad person to ask.
I had really bad s/e - the worst being blurry vision. My vision was so blurry that I couldn't drive for 2 days. Other than that I had hot flashes and just felt blah. I also didn't respond at all.
I had to bring on my AF via provera so I don't know what my LP would have been had I Od that month.
My only side effect was that I had really crazy hot flashes. Maybe once every hour, all day long. THat was annoying.
You can read my Clomid history in my sig. I responded, but not that well.
I know it helps others, but it didn't help my 7-10 luteal phase at all. good luck!
I took it at night before bed and didn't really have any side effects.
I wasn't monitored (I didn't really know any better at the time) so I don't know how many follies I produced.
It made my LP longer, and I actually Od a bit later in the cycle too.
Unexplained Infertility
After two Clomid cycles, three injectable IUI cycles, two IVFs, two miscarriages, and one lap surgery, IVF #2 has brought us our little boy!
TTC #2
After months of being postponed or cancelled, FET #1.3 (Natural FET) brought us twin girls!
S/E - Headaches, hot flashes, crazy moods, thin lining.
# Follies - I have no idea as I wasn't monitored with my OB (WHICH IS VERY BAD!!!). The one time I was monitored, there was nothing measurable, and my lining was thin enough that my doc said it couldn't support a pregnancy even if I did ovulate.
LP - Hard to say. My LP has never been measurable (unmedicated) as AF has never come with any regularity at all, and sometimes didn't show even when I was medicated and ovulating.
I had horrible hot flashes and was insanely moody.
I had 2 follies my first month, 3 my second. I ovulated on CD9 my first month, CD13 my second. First month I needed progesterone to bring on AF, second month AF arrived right on time.
TI, IUIs, IVF = c/ps and BFNs
I was pretty moody and emotional on it, but I also had a terrible time sleeping and night sweats each month I took it.
I had between 2 and 4 follies each month (I was on it for 6 months, but only monitored for 3 months)...my LP has always been pretty consistent, but on clomid it would change dramatically...range from 8 days to 18 days..
Started TTC 05.08
Me: Stage II endo, borderline high FSH
DH: perfect
1 lap, 5 IUIs = 4 BFNs and 1 c/p
2 IVFs, 2 FETs = 1 BFN, 1 c/p, 1 ectopic and finally a sticky BFP in May 2011!
1 FET in Aug 2013 = BFP!
no s/e at all. taken in the morning or evening. I only took 50 mg though.
I wasn't monitored well with my OB. I know I did have 20-24 mm follicles, I don't know/remember how many.
No, no effect on LP
i guess i am a weirdo in that i personally loved clomid
i had no side effects at all that were noticeable - i took mucinex to help cm
i love it because my babies were clomid twins - although we think it thinned my lining (we are still unsure though)
i made 2 follies at 18 mm by cd13 (took it cd3-7) the first time and got twins
i made 1 follies at 20 mm by cd12 (took it cd5-9) the second time and got a bfn
I didn't have much in the way of physical side effects, and my response wasn't all that great. I had one follie on 100 mg and 200 mg. My LP was fine to begin with and wasn't affected.
I did have a thin lining though - I think it made it up to 6-7mm or so.
All in all I wasn't all that fond of clomid. Had I to do it again I think I might have requested femara, simply since it seems to have fewer anti-estrogenic side effects (thin lining, dry CM, etc).

Clomid gave me hot flashes...like I want to rip my clothes off hot flashes, night sweats and it made me very emotional. It also extended my LP by 2 days, and it was 16 days long to begin with!
But the good news is that it worked well for me, I ovulated from both sides (although still BFN) so it did it's job well.
GL to you!!
what s/e did you experience? The first cycle I was on Clomid I had experienced really bad O pains on the left side starting CD 5. They were so bad I was sure that I had produced too many follies. I also had night sweats. This cycle I didn't have either of those problems.
if it worked how many follies did you produce? Both cycles I only produced one follie on each ovary.
did it affect your LP? Not last cycle. It also didn't effect my lining.
After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here!

I didn't respond to clomid. : (
My stupid OBGYN didn't even monitor me so I took it for 3 months. By the 3rd month I had switched to the RE and she saw that I only had one sad follie at 100mg clomid.
My side effects were mild. I just had mood swings.
this is me too. my worst s/e was an episode where i heard and felt a pop in my head, everything went white, and my vision was off for the next day or so. vertigo, nausea, and diarhea accompanied this. . . and that was my last attempt at clomid. i got bad headaches and BAD temper on every dosage.

I was on 50mg CD5-9.
I had some hot flashes/night sweats, but nothing bad. Some moodiness. That's it.
Not sure b/c I was on progesterone too.
