Babies: 9 - 12 Months

SWM

When did you find out? What is your prognosis? How are you holding up?

I can't believe I missed this. If there's anything I can do, PM me!!!!

Re: SWM

  • It was just a couple months ago.  My initial biopsy was at the very beginning of July.  I am being treated at Moffitt Cancer Center here in Tampa which I am very grateful for.

I've had 3 surgeries and am missing half a boob.  But no worries!  :-)

They feel confident in the last one.  I am just waiting on final pathology and hope that is it.

Unfortunately, there is another skin cancer spot on my nose.  That's the next battle.

I'll be happy when '09 comes to a close.  It's been a rough year.

Thanks for the well-wishes.  Honestly, its the Bump that has kept me sane!

  • Wow...you really were sick if the Bump kept you sane!!!!

Just kidding...I am sorry to hear this - I totally missed the boat also.  I am glad you are doing better.

Are you going to have the reconstruction surgery? Or are you going to be hardcore and keep your 1.5 boobs....

I vote for hardcore...Stick out tongue but then you know ...I am just that crazy....

  • I was probably licking my PPD wounds when you posted. What an assshole am I?!

I'm so happy to hear things are going well now for the breast cancer, but the skin cancer spot is so upsetting. I can't imagine how devastating this must be after having the baby.

Have you been going through chemo? It's a real biitch. Although the drugs now are waaayyy better than what was around when I had it.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You are so incredibly strong. I'm in awe, really.
