Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

For the pregnant moms...

I had an OB appt today and I told him that I've been having a lot more pain than with Lucas and that it fels like she is sitting on my cervix.  Sometimes it even makes me bend over for a moment or two until she moves off of it.

So he tells me...the pelvic floor is stretched out and loosened up after already having a child, so the weight of the baby can be a lot more painful late in subsequent pregnancy

WTF didn't someone tell me this?  It isn't in the books.  I just thought I'd give you a warning.  This one hurts more!

Re: For the pregnant moms...

  • Huh. For various reasons, this time around has not been the fun and games it was w/DD. I reeeally try to be an optimist, especially anything pg and baby-related, but yay... This gives me something else to look forward to!

    Thanks for the heads-up.

  • I don't have pain yet, necessarily, but it's definitely a different, more uncomfortable, feeling. I feel like this baby is lower and pushes on my bladder a lot more. I'm really hoping that it means that I'll dilate faster this time. I don't have time to sit in labor for 38 hours this time around... :)
  • LOL damn pregnancy books.
  • sorry about your pain, but thanks for the info.

  • Thanks! I'm only 26 weeks and I seriously feel like I look and walk like I did at 36 weeks with ds... I am so miserable at night time. I even broke down and bought a maternity belt because I'm carrying dd soooo low that I can't walk for very long without feeling like I'm going to fall over.
  • Great. I could barely walk the last two months w/ DD b/c my crotch hurt so bad. This time I'll have a 2 yr. old to be chasing.  fml
