Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Just "broke up" with daycare :(

That was SO HARD. I loooove my daycare - his teachers and the program are just so awesome. I know I will never be able to afford something of comparable quality in MA (and I told the director as much). He has learned so much and just thrives when he is there. And he will miss his best friend Sam! They are two peas in a pod, have been "best friends" since they both started when they were 12 weeks old (they are only 2 days apart).

I just keep reminding myself that even if we weren't moving, I can't afford to keep him there any longer. We have to break up one way or another. I just wish I could move his whole school with us.  :(

Isn't it funny, the only two things about VA I am going to miss is Oak's daycare and his bedroom? Everything else can GTH...

  • I bet come January you'll miss more than that ;)

Seriously though,  I am so happy for you. These are all good things happening for your family. I'm so glad you finally caught a break!

  • You're going to miss me, too.  Admit it.

    Thanks  :)

And I have to admit, I'm trying not to think too much about the weather. At least come summer I'll actually be just minutes from the beach! My big complaint about it here in the summer is that it's always beach weather but so far away.  :)

LOL! Yes, I will miss you most of all, scarecrow.  :)  It's really too bad we couldn't rouse more people for our GTG. You know MrsG moved too right? She went back to NC!

About half of what I would pay up there for a program that isn't even as good! At least he'll only be in PT daycare tho - my mom is going to watch him a few days a week.

  • I felt the same way when I had to move Charleigh from her daycare when my job changed.  I was so sad because she had "grew up" there.  I cried the last day and I still correspond with the teachers.  But, her new daycare is awesome and Charleigh loves it so it all works out.  I know Oak will do great :)

Aiden is in a center but we only pay $760/month for 3 days a week. That is half of what Bright Horizons and Kindercare wanted for a similar environment. Friends of ours in DC pay then same amount as us for an in home provider

  • Where is MA are you looking?  I have done a lot of research on centers in Metrowest so let me know if you want any info.
