What's so special about dogs?

So Kate officially says "dah" for "dog" and, starting 2 days ago "Tuh-kuh" (Tucker, the dog's name) more often than she says "mama" or "dada".  Yeah, the dog doesn't feed or clothe you, kid!  In fact, he's been known to steal your food!

On a related note, "gog" (dog) was Erin's and Connor's first words, other than mama and dada.  I wonder what makes dogs so special to the little ones?

    I know huh?? DD says "pup. pee." for puppies but hardly ever says Mama! WTH?? lol

    Yeah my dd loves our dogs.  She even gives them kisses when they come within 3 feet of her!  It is the cutest thing ever.

    Beats me, but Sarah's the same way with Lucy.  As soon as I put her on the floor and she spots Lu, she goes "Doggieeeee" and chases her around the apartment.

    Let's face it, dogs are WAY more fun and entertaining than we are.  At least I'm sure that's how my son feels.

    yeah - DD has been saying KAA for cat for about a month and its 100% for the cat.  Mama/Dada - meh sometimes she says it right, sometimes not.  The funniest part of course, is that the cat is terrified of her and runs anytime she's near.

    DS said my dogs name way more than Mama or Dada too. lol - DS LOVES the dog. LOVES him.

    Yup.  R LOVES our dogs.  Sadly, they don't feel the same way about her.  I think that they are still holding a little resentment about being knocked down a peg.  :-)
