I hate massages. I can't stand them. I don't like people to touch me, I will go crazy. And I HATE the word massage. Which is all ironic since I used to work at Massage Envy.
A few years ago my husband got me a gift certificate for a spa for Christmas. It was for a high amount. I went in for a massage and it was mortifying. It told her I wanted my back only... She asked me to roll over to do the front of my shoulders.... and she WENT AT IT on my boobs, like hard squeezing and I was so shocked and put my arms over them... and she physically removed my arms and kept going. I was SO uncomfortable and not relaxed at all. Maybe I'm a prude but it was NOT what I wanted. I never used the rest of that certificate and never want another massage again.
I've had a lot of massages, but I've never had someone "go at" my breasts. Okay, I've had it happen, but not after I've paid someone for a service. Usually after a nice dinner or some dancing.
A good massage therapist is really conscious of your comfort level and establishes exactly what those parameters are at the beginning, and asks often during the session if what is being done is okay with you.

You should have said something, in Texas I am pretty sure that is not legal. Especially since you showed how uncomfortable you are.
I'm with you on that! I am not a cuddly/touchy-feely type of person at all. In our prenatal class the instructor was having us practice breathing and telling our husbands to massage our shoulders. She totally thought I was a weirdo because I wouldn't let dh touch me.

Whoa. That sounds horrible and creepy. I love massages and I've been getting them once a month during this pregnancy - I have never had anything like that happen. I'm so sorry you had such a terrible experience!

I have had many many massages, even worked at a very high scale spa here, and never heard of this (not saying it didn't happen, I have seen some really creepy massage therapists). You should have turned in the massage therapist to management, and I think you should ask for a refund no matter how long it has been on the remainder of the GC. Since I was in management I can tell you that this would not have flown, and the massage therapist would have been fired immediately. A good massage therepist drapes you appropriately, and it should not feel uncomfortable at all. I would have also refunded ALL of your money. If it was a spa here that has tall in the name I could help you out and get your money back.

?
LMAO!? That sounds horrible!? I can't believe she moved your arms!? I'm all for massages, but had an ex-b.f. who hated them, and therefore would not give them.? Yeah, that's why he's an ex.? Funny story, I thought for the longest that my long-time massage therapist was gay.? He wasn't a flamer, or anything but very soft spoken with a very gentle demeanor.? I always stripped completely down and let him massage some very sensitive areas (nothing kinky, but in a different situation, those would be hotspots) without a second thought.? Anyway, a year or so after I stopped going to him, I hear he and his longtime girlfriend just had a beautiful baby girl! Oh well!

And Punk, I will hit a pregnant woman
!
I know I should have and I didn't. I was so flusterred when I left that I hit another car in the parking lot. It was a bad day.

Well NOW I know it's not normal... at the time I was a massage virgin and just thought maybe that's what they do and it's just not for me!
FTR my poor husband did all sorts of research trying to find a nice spa for me, he felt really bad that I didn't want to go back!

So, I kind of feel like Joey from Friends...
"That's how they measure pants!"
I just figured "that's how they give messages"
