We moved here about 4 months ago from St. Louis. My son is only 3 months, but I know my friends back home utilized a great program called parents as teachers. This program was run by local schools and allowed educators to visit your family at no cost, to make sure your baby was developing properly and offered tips on things like sleeping/eating.
I just tried to find out if Dallas had a similar program, but it seems that the program here is aimed at "at risk" families because when I go to "find a program in your area" it's listing child abuse/etc hotline numbers.
Does anyone know if a program exists in Dallas? Thanks!
PS- we are in the city of Dallas- not in the suburbs.
