We are still going to use the names we had picked out for a girl because I've always loved it and always wanted to use it! For a boy, we obviously have to start over because we already used it...

We never had a girl name picked out. We waited until the u/s to even start talking. Most of the boy names are still on my short list, but again, we will likely wait until really discussing it.

We won't use the girl name we had picked out with DS for a future girl. It became really popular and some friends/family used it, not to mention it just doesn't have the same appeal to me anymore.
It's so strange, had he been a girl that would be his name right now and I'm sure I would still love it. I wonder how I would have felt about his name if it had been the other way around?
Likely yes, but that is only because we had a really hard time picking a boy's name, and there really was only one that we liked. We used to joke before DD was born that we would be really screwed if we ever ended up with 2 boys.
My dh and I have had a boy's name picked out for years...we had a hard time picking a name for dd. If this baby is a boy then we'll use that name, and we already decided on a girl's name that goes well with dd's name.
Making lefse at the cabin
**Scott 6/8/96** **Avery 7/24/08** **Brendan 7/15/10**
we started over....isabella rose is just sooooooo ridiculously popular that i didn't want to use it anymore. i have a common name and HATED it growing up. not that kayleigh isn't a popular name (just different spellings)...guess we kinda defeated the purpose....
With DD, my DH would not discuss names until we knew what we were having. We just couldn't agree on names and he didn't want to fight or upset me (it was super annoying). Once it was a girl, we had a short list and then picked Sydney. Runner up was Samantha.
If this baby was a girl, her name would have for sure been Samantha.
Now, we are having a boy - - Noah - - and are done. But, if for some reason something changes and we have another baby (lol) I am guessing it would probably be Samantha for a girl and Miles for a boy
We used the only boy name we could decide on for DS. If we have a girl next, DH wants to keep our original name, but I do not want it anymore. It was Madeleine and I feel like it's too popular now.
Are you still planning to use/did you use the one you didn't use the first time around?
We still love our boy name and everytime someone in my family has a baby, I pray they don't take our name!
OMG me too! My cousin is pregnant and I'm getting nervous lol....they don't even now if it's a boy or a girl, though, I might not have anything to worry about
Our boy name was Madden James. I think we are both over that name, but you never know, we might change our minds again. We had a completely different girl name picked out, and the day before our ultrasound my husband picked Raegan. That is our daughter's name.
Re: If you had boy & girl names picked out for DC #1...
nope, we started over
(m/c 1.17.07, m/c 5.15.07)
DS - 03.15.08
DD2 - 12.03.09
DD3 - 3.28.11

If we have another boy, we're screwed. We agree on NO other names except Aidan for a boy!
For a girl, we will probably use our girl name from last time (Tessa Morgan).
NO. ?The name we'd chosen if DS was a girl was Cooper (grandma's maiden name). ?
I will NOT name my children Anderson & Cooper.
(read it. you know you want to.)
anderson . september 2008
vivian . february 2010
mabel . august 2012

Joseph was named for my late father. Our girl name on deck was for Matthew's late mother.
If we have a girl, she will still be Marianna Aurora Rose.
