  • This board is for women who are having trouble having #2.  Some have sought help for #1 or some have had #1 with no problem but now are having issues with the second.  Many of the women on here are under the care of an OB or specialist and trying different medications, procedures, etc. to get pregnant.  It isn't just a run of the mill board with women trying for a second child.

If you are just starting to try for #2, maybe one of the TTC boards are a better fit for you.  If you have been trying/charting for at least 6-10 months and have seen or are going to see your OB for some further eval, then this may be the place for you.  Or if you have had trouble with #1 then you may know that you belong here even sooner.

We have a lot of abbreviations because of all the procedures and tests, etc. that we have gone through.  Our Board is actually called Secondary Infertility.

Good luck with whatever your situation is!

  • Are you talking about charting your temps, CM and cervix position? Or just a general calendar telling you when you should ovulate??

The first one is really good indicator of when you'll ovulate/if you have and when is a good time to try. The second, not so much. Not all women ovulate on cycle day 14 and not all women have 28 day cycles.?

  • As the others have said this board is meant for ladies who either had medically diagnosed infertility for #1 or is being treated for infertility for the first time as they try to conceive #2.

If you are trying to conceive #2 and would like to be more proactive I recommend you read the book: Taking Charge of Your Fertility.   The book has everything you need to know about charting temperatures, cervical mucous, etc.  If you don't have any medical reason preventing pregnancy most people get pregnant RIGHT away following the book.
