Choosing a pediatrician

Are there any good online resources for choosing a pediatrician?  I did a search on my insurance provider's website, and will do the same for DH's, but that's only a starting point - now I have a list of 9 docs that are close by, but have no idea if I can narrow that down even further before interviewing them.

Also, if anyone has any recs - I'm looking in the area around Baylor Dallas.

    I think one of the best things you can do is ask like-minded friends who they use and why they like them. ?

    And also keep in mind that its a bit of 'trial and error'... I have had three pediatricians in just 18 months and I finally like the one we are with (the third.) ?I really liked the first two in my initial meetings with them, but after about 5 - 6 months of them treating my children, I started to see things that I was very unhappy with and decided to switch. ?

    Sometimes it takes a little bit of time before you find one that you really click with and that you trust. ?So I would ask around and visit the offices just briefly - see who your OBGYN recommends - see which doctors do rounds at the hospital you will deliver at and see if there are any overlaps of recommended doctors. ?And then keep in mind that you may switch down the road.

    think about the things that interest you - ie: vaccines are a huge point for us so after a "hit and miss" with our original pedi, we searched for one that would be more flexible. i agree with pp - ask your friends (that have the same parenting ideals) and they should be able to help.
