NTR: is this creepy or weird?

One of my best friends lost her husband recently in a freak accident (she is only 29 years old). Friday would have been their 5 year wedding anniversary and she is understandably upset and sad about it. I was thinking of sending her flowers that day to try and cheer her up a little or something. Is it weird to send her flowers on their wedding anniversary? Should I put happy anniversary on the card? I want her to know I understand its a big event for her and that Im thinking of her. I was also thinking about not even putting a card and just sending flowers but didnt know if that would be creepy or something. WDYT?

  • I don't think it is creepy to send her flowers.  I wouldn't put a anniversary card with it...maybe just a Thinking about you card.

  • I don't think it's creepy or weird. Maybe send a card that says, thinking about you today. I'm sure knowing that you remembered will mean a lot to her.

So sorry for her. That is horrible.

  • I think would be a very sweet gesture.

I'd sign the card "Thinking of you today" and not make mention of the occassion.

  • I think it's a thoughtful gesture.  I would put a thinking of you card with it, not an anniversary card or no card at all. When you're depressed, it's nice to know that people are still thinking about you.  You're a good friend.
  • I think that's very sweet.  I would do a "thinking of you" card.

ditto this. I think that is a nice idea. I would appreciate it if I were in her shoes.
