Anyone ever have success "breaking up" workouts throughout the day?

I've never been a huge fan on this concept. I just prefer getting my whole workout done in one shot. However, I want to try to incorporate more stretching and other types of exercises I've read about in my Fit Pregnancy magazines. At this point, though, I'm getting up at 4:50 AM to get my run in, so I'm not willing to get up any earlier. So, I'm thinking of doing my "other" exercises in the evening...is this weird?

  • Not weird at all! I will sometimes break up my workouts by doing cardio either in the morning or evening and lifting weights/stretching during my lunch breaks. I find it energizes me more and is easier to get in since I typically don't have a 2 hour stretch to get it all in at once.

  • I do Crossfit, so I don't need to break up my workouts. The entire workout rarely lasts more than 30 minutes. I do sometimes stretch separately but I don't really consider stretching a workout.
