I can't seem to tell if I am O. I have looked up symptoms of O, and have tried to check my CM, but I'm not really finding anything. I may break down and get one of those kits, but we've only been trying for 3 months now so I feel like it may be a bit early for something like that. I have put in my info to calculate when I am suppose to O, but I'm not noticing any real changes around that time. Any other ideas?
Re: Ovulation
Chill.
If you aren't worried about timing, charting can still work to help you understand your body each cycle. Start simple by keeping track of cervical mucus (CM) and symptoms. If you really want to be certain you ARE ovulating, start temping. It literally takes 1 minute to temp, 30 seconds to write down you temp and the time you temped as well as you CM. I am so glad I started!
Turns out I ovulated on CD 30 this month... I'd be freaking out about being "late" by now, but I know I'm still waiting for AF. Good luck!
You know there are some girls here who have started charting and temping only to find out they haven't been ovulating. You will never really know what is happening to your body if you don't learn about it. If I were queen of the world, every girl would learn how to chart in grade school. Learning about all of this has been really eye-opening, and I am shocked to find out so many things I was taught in school was wrong wrong wrong.
Do yourself and favor and educate yourself.
I've heard so many people say that they wasted months by not knowing they were never ovulating. Temping really isn't a lot of work at all, it's as simple as putting a thermometer in your mouth and writing down the temperature.
My thought process when I started charting was, why not? I'd rather spend 1 minute each day to see whether or not I am ovulating than TTC for a year with no luck and having the RE tell me the same thing. HTH!

Most people recommend a BBT, which is a Basal Body Thermometer, or they might be called Fertility Thermometer. You can find them in almost any drug store (or even target or walmart). Some ladies use just a regular old thermometer, which seems to work okay for them.

Sorry for being a little slow on the uptake, I am new at this and I misunderstood the reason for temping. But thank you for answering and trying to help. If you feel I'm not understanding feel free to be blunt, I have my big girl panties on.
