Triplet mom's-due date ?

I talked to my MFM dr today about when I will deliver. So far (knock on wood) there aren't any complications other than the increase of contractions. 

I asked if I would be scheduled for a c-section yet and they said no that if I make it to 34 weeks they would then schedule it.  Their explanation was that "normally" triplets moms go into labor before 34 weeks. I was just wondering what your experience was.

    the avg twin pg only gets to 35-36w... not sure what the avg is for trips - does Dr. Luke's book say?

    getting to 34w with triplets would be a great thing.

    <Y doc said goal would be 35-36 but most come at 32-33.

    My doc originally wanted me to go to 36 weeks, but my body decided otherwise. I was hospitalized for 7 weeks before I delivered and he delivered me at 33 weeks due to pre-e, cholestasis, and GD. But he said in his experience he usually sees triplet moms go to anywhere from 32-36 weeks. So I guess it will all depend on what your body does in the upcoming weeks. I too was hoping for a scheduled c-section date, but he said with triplets and the other complications you never know. I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy. :)

    well, clearly I haven't delivered yet and I hope not to for a long time! All mine said was that average for triplets was 32 weeks, and I guess with the constant monitoring they'll make the decision on a more last-minute, as-needed basis.

    i think "average" for triplets is 32-33 weeks, but some doctors won't make you/let you go past 34. i don't know why. i'd shoot for 35, then you'd have a better chance of take home babies. :)

    i delivered at 33w2d. i never went into labor, but started to develop pre-e.

    I just wish I had an "Idea" as to when they might be here. Average means they can be here in 3-4 weeks. So crazy!!!!

    I made it 33weeks and 3 days. My dr. wanted me to make it to 35 weeks.

    My peri said that its best not to go past 35 weeks with triplets.  I think it has to do with the placenta becoming less efficient.  My OB wants to deliver at 35 weeks also.  I think my body will not make it that long, but who knows.  I believe the average is 32 weeks.

    My MFM would not schedule a delivery date until I was past 34 weeks for the same reason.  I was told that with most triplet pregnancies - "something" would happen.  That being said, nothing happened and I delivered at 35 weeks and 6 days - scheduled c-section.

    I was told that average delivery for triplets is 32 weeks.

    My MFM said that I would have a schedule c-section at 36 weeks or an emergency c-section before that.  I ended up delivering at 36 weeks 2 days.

     I think that average for triplets is 32-33 weeks.
