Anyone else NOT setting up nursery before baby comes?

I'm due 5/8/2010, our lease is up at our apartment in August, and we'll definitely be moving - perhaps even out of state. Right now, what would be the nursery, is a guest room complete with side table, TV, dresser and full sized bed. To make it a full nursery we'd have to either get rid of furniture or put it in storage.

So we've decided to just hold off on full-blown nursery setup until we get settled into our new place. The baby will be in our room in a bassinet anyways, so no need to get a crib/furniture set right now. I'm hoping that we move to a rental house with 3-4 bedrooms and the landlord allows us to paint. Plus we're team green, so that way I'd be able to do a gender-specific room.

Ugh. It's times like these I wish we were ready to buy a house. But of course DH has applied to start dental school and/or enlist in the military next year. So no house for now...

    I'm kinda sorta having to hold off. See I have a tiny 2nd bedroom that already holds a comp desk and bookcase (I'm in school so need that). I can squeeze in a mini-crib and hopefully a dresser in the room. BUT I want to keep the baby in our bedroom for a few months. Only way I can do that is to move my big sofa chair out of the bedroom and into the second bedroom and when I am ready to put the baby in the crib in the other room - move the chair back to our room and set up the crib. We may or may not paint and decorate until after the baby is born. We haven't decided.

    I'm not, but if I didn't know the gender I would.  I don't like green, brown, red...pretty much all gender neutral themes and colors.

    We didnt do DSs nursery until he was 2 months or so old. We were living temporarily with my parents when he was born and it took us a while to clean out the other bedroom and set it up. When he was born we had the crib in our bedroom.
