ladies on progesterone supplements...

in 1st Trimester
how long do you have to be on them? i'm on prometrium 200mg 2x/day and crinone 8% suppositories 1x/day. my doctor said to stop at 9w.

    I am on prometrium 200mg 2x/day. I started at 7 weeks and I have 2 weeks left of the pills. My doctor said to finish the whole 12th week at least. But i'll just finish off the pills.

    I'm on prometrium too, 200mg twice a day, and they take me through my 9th week, but they mentioned continuing until through the 12th week.
    I plan on calling next week to check if I need a new prescription.

    I thought I was told through first tri, but now I can't be sure.  My RE just says to keep taking them; my appt isn't until next week.

    Hello & Congrats!

    I started my 200mg Progestrone on Friday when I got my bfp. My levels were low. I think if this pg is viable then up to 14 weeks.. depends on your situation.

    Dx Endometriosis & MTHFR (2) Mutations 1st IUI BFP!! Beta& Pro levels low taking Endometrin vaginal inserts & b/w every 2 days... 9/12/09 Spontaneous Miscarriage @ 5.5 weeks AF arrivied 10/11/09 (30 days after m/c) 2nd IUI 10/24/09 BFP!! 11/6/09 1st Beta 8, 2nd Beta 28 3rd beta 51, 4TH Beta 327! & 5th Beta 800 , 6th Beta 338 :(on Endometrin vaginal inserts 200 mg twice a day, 2nd M/C 11/25/09 Starting taking BA, 5mg Folic acid, b12 & b9 along with prenatal. Hopefully this will help! M/C 11/25/09 AF SHOWED 26 DAYS AFTER MC, 3RD IUI SCHEDULED FOR 1/4/10 GOD PLEASE GRANT ME MY WISH! 3RD IUI =BFN 4th IUI on 2/2/10 in the 2WW Please let this be it. Keeping fingers crossed. 2/16/10 = BFP! 1st Beta 146, 2nd Beta 510, 3rd Beta 1808 & Pro 35, 4th Beta 12,000 & Pro 28, 3/2/10 1st u/s poss 2 sacs 1 hb @ 117!!! yay! Praying this is our sticky baby!     with my son I took them for 13 wks. 200mg prometrium taken intravaginally once a day at bed time. I'm on the same thing again but this time my Dr said to take them till 10wks. I will probably take until 13 wks just for my piece of mind.

    I started mine was I was 5w, just got my prescription renewed so I can take them up until week 13.

    I'm on Endometrin supplements 100mg 2x a day; started them 2 dpo and have continued since BFP. Going to keep taking them until my doc tells me to stop. have an appt in 2 weeks so I'll ask then.

    I am on the progesterone injections.  We do one a shot every night at 100mg until I am 14 weeks.  The suppositories were not upping the numbers the way he wanted so we started on injections and they are working.  We saw the baby and the heartbeat last week.  I don't mind the injections they don't hurt anymore and are part of our daily routine.  Good luck I am so glad we have progesterone supplements it is making this pregnancy stick.

    I am 12 weeks today and just asked this morning at my appointment. My DR said to stop anytime between now and next week (13 weeks).

    I am taking 200 vaginally once (nightly) and have been since 7 weeks. I will ask my Dr (Monday is my next apt) and try to write back on this thread. I will be 11 weeks when I go in, so I will see what they tell me....
