After everything that has been happening, more than anything in the world I HATE Swine Flu and I HATE m/c's with all my heart!!!! Angry

Ugh.... I just want to scream it out to the world as loud as I can!!!! It breaks my heart in two Broken Heart to hear about so many people being affected by the two and it always leads to something horrific!!!

It really makes you wonder where exactly swine flu came from??!!! Hmm Alot of times I wonder if the effin Government made it and released it for the whole purpose of making our population smaller or something! UGH... eff this... I hate it!!!! It pisses me off so much, and I feel like there is nothing I can do about it. Super Angry

You hear and watch the people closest to you get it and all you can do is be there for them and try to comfort them, over the effin phone!!! Cause you can't go near them cause either A- you will get it or B- they are too far away!!!

Why does life have to be so hard and full of so much pain!? It's not fair!!!

Ok I think I am done now, that kinda felt good!!!

Oh wait... and eff Doctor's who talk you into getting the effin vaccine!!!!! EFFFFFF THEM!!! Angry

Hon, I think you need to go for a walk and relax some. The government is not out to get you, not out to get any of us. What happened to Becka was truly tragic; however, it shouldn't be seen as an indictment of the whole system. Many people have gotten the vaccine (myself included) with no ill side effects. Developments of a new strain of flu are not unusual. They have happened in the past and will continue to happen. Let's just all be happy it is not 1918.

Sweetie I just needed to vent it all out... that is how I feel. I never said the Gov was out to get me, it was just a thought that I had. IMO

And it is not only Becka, there are alot of women out there I am friends with that it has happened too. My SIL and my nephew got the damn shot and they both ended up with it! She is due in Jan and she almost lost the baby because of it! And I have many friends get the swine flu and ended up in the hospital. I am one of the few lucky one's that hasn't been sick at all, Thank God!!

It pisses me off cause there is nothing that we can do about it, except sit back and watch!!!

I agree with Rhody, and I wanted to add hugs. I know you and Becka are close, and it is so hard to know she is going through this. But the vaccine is important, and I still would have gotten mine.

You did suggest that the government manufactured the flu.

It is actually impossible to get sick from the injected form of the vaccine. They do not use live vaccine in an injection. However, if you are slightly sick, your immune system might overreact and cause you to get sick from something else. Also, the vaccine does not confer total immunity for 2 weeks, so it's possible to get the vaccine and still get sick from another source.

I'm sorry. I just want to make sure any misinformation is cleared up. No one should NOT get the vaccine because thy are afraid of side effects.

I am sorry you are feeling so frustrated, but it might be better to channel your frustration into more constructive routes. How about sending care baskets to your sick friends and family? Spreading rumors on the internet is not going to help.

No, I'm very sorry to say that things are not okay. Becka got the H1N1 vaccine at her docs recommendation, and it caused an allergic reaction. She lost both of her darling babies last week. It is one of the most horrible things I have ever heard of.

As you may know she had lost her babies... She had a allergic reaction from the H1N1 shot and now they had diagnosed her with H1N1. Her Dr. also failed to ask her her family history! Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for her!

travers, imo I think you are right , the doctor was definatly in the wrong!

my friend and her daughter just got the swine flu and one week after they got the vaccine and she is 6 weeks pregnant, its all very scary for everyone!

My heart goes out to Becka, I dont know her, but the whole situation is horrible and that doctor should be sued

This. I know you're just trying to let it out, but I guess I am frustrated too that there is a lot of fear and misinformation out there, and that people who need to get vaccinated, like pregnant women, won't because of stuff like this. What happened to Becka is truly awful, but hopefully very very rare, and the majority of people should still get the vaccine with their doctor's approval. Hugs to you though, you are a good friend to be so concerned for her.

I agree. The pig flu is ridiculous. I think the panic to get the vaccine is even more ridiculous.

Your right I did, but it was a thought that came across my mind, it was my opinionated thought! What's wrong with that?! We all have our own opinion on everything!

The vaccine is not a guarantee that it will keep you from getting it.

And it was never misinformation, it was my opinion! I was never spreading rumors, what rumors were spread?!! Hmm I needed to vent, big deal, we all vent on here for one reason or another. And no one should be flammed for something they believe in or for something they are upset by!

Big deal I am frustrated, we all get frustrated from time to time, and most of us come on here to release our frustrations!!! And I have sent out care packages, flowers, cards, etc... don't worry about it!

FWIW, I never once flamed you, but you can believe what you want. I am sorry that you are so upset. I was just trying to use this as an opportunity to educate anyone watching who may be on the fence about the flu and the vaccine, as I believe more tragedy can be avoided that way.

holy shiit i had no clue becka lost both her babies. last i knew one was still holding on. that is beyond tragic.

regardless of the vaccine itself, that dr should have known better and asked for a medical history. ffs, isn't the first thing they learn to ask "any allergies?" i seriously hope she sues the shiit out of him. not that it will ever make up for what she went through... but at the very least, hopefully it'll make others more aware of the importance of asking for a medical history.

OP-- i completely understand your frustration. although i don't necessarily agree with everything you said, i completely understand the need to vent, especially over such a horrible situation as this. my thoughts and prayers are with becka and her family and friends.
