has anyone ordered a car seat from albeebaby.com?

Just curious if you had a good experience and what the manufacture date on the seat was? 

We need to get a second convertible car seat for DD and we are specifically looking at the Britax Marathon. It's about $100 cheaper here than BRU with no tax and free shipping.

 It almost seems to good to be true, so I'm wondering if maybe it will have an earlier manufacture date than one I'd buy at BRU and so would expire sooner.

    I have ordered from them before. My seat was manufactured 6 months prior to the purchase date. Email them and ask - they are VERY helpful! :)

    I have heard bad reviews regarding their customer service.  we bought two Britax thru babycatalogdotcom and had the best service including free shipping, no sales tax, and we used a promo code on top of the sale price.  doesn't hurt to check them out.  I highly recommend them.

    albeebaby.com rocks. Seriously. I have ordered 2 carseats from there as well as Landon's bedding set. One of the carseats was actually delivered in less than 24 hours! It might have a slightly earlier manufacturer date but I doubt it. If it does they will usually tell you in the description of the seat.

    Great vendor -- we ordered our Marathon (the same one) from them.  The manufacture date was about the same as philosoraptor's...but that pattern has been on sale for at least 6 months on their site, so I say go with her suggestion and give them a call just in case!

    I ordered and they didnt tell us our seat was an older model. I was able to return it but it was a pain. But I ordered a highchair from them and it was fine. except they never shipped it. That was a pain too. I guess I have had no luck with them. Sorry.

    I just ordered and received a Britax Roundabout 50 from Albeebaby - great deal for $159 with no tax and free shipping. I was really pleased with them... no problems.   It never occurred to me to check the manufacture date on the seat, but my gut response to that is that if the seat was new and stored in a warehouse (presumably) then the manufacture date wouldn't matter THAT much.  Car seats have expiration dates assuming regular use in a car with temperature extremes, etc.  But I will now be checking the date imprinted on the seat!

    I have ordered from them a few times.  Fast shipping, free shipping, and no sales tax! 

    I do not remember about the date on my carseat though, sorry.

    Thanks for all the responses ladies.  I'm glad to know that it seems like for the most part there haven't been any problems with them.  I think I will be placing an order later this week.
