There are a lot of people out there that swear by the Shelttes (sp?) method. In theory it makes sense (to me at least) but it seems like a lot of work with no guarantee.

You've heard that if you have sex a few days before you ovulate, you're more likely to have a girl, but if you have sex the day of or day before ovulation, you're more likely to have a boy? Because the boy sperm find the egg quicker if the egg is there, but die off sooner if the egg isn't there, leaving the female sperm to fertilize the egg.
Doesn't this theory sort of assume you have no problems conceiving? B/C you have a lot of women on this board pulling their hair out just to figure out when they ovulate, adding the timing to determine sex sounds even more dicey.
