I thought I had my swing all picked out, but then I saw the Beautiful Dreamer Cocoon swing which seems perfect, but has no motor so it's up to you to swing:

I also liked the Graco Lovin' Hug swings, but heard some bad reviews of their longevity of use, both due to babies outgrowing the swing quickly and due to certain features "burning out" quickly (either the vibration or motor stopped working, etc).
Does anyone have any good recommendations for a swing?
Re: Swing recommendations? (for 2nd or 3rd time Moms!)
We loved our fisher price papsan swing. The only thing was that we went through zillions on batteries.(LO would only nap in the swing) We will be getting the newer one that plugs in this time. They are listed on craigslist quite often. I don't know if you are open to buying used but with the swings you can wash the parts the baby will touch in the washing machine and with fisher price the replacements are super cheap!!!
**wanted to add we had the motor give out at about 7 months. Fisher Price was awesome.....overnighted us a new motor right away no questions asked! We did not buy our swing new and I told them that ...they still sent us the new motor!
We got the FP Rainforest Swing. Loved the fact that it plugged into the wall -- it also took batteries, but it was nice to not *have* to use them. I also liked that you could turn the seat so baby could swing front-to-back or side-to-side.
It worked fine and we'll be using it for baby #2 as well.

Yup. I agree with everything! I would never buy a swing that could only be powered on batteries.
Same here.
