WTF?! How come some people can get pregnant and others can't?

in 1st Trimester

So I went on Facebook today and DH's uncle (thank goodness step and not blood) posted that he "didnt come here 2 start no drama,i jus came here lookin 4 my new baby mama!?numbr 5 should be here in 8 months or so..holla i'm so stoked!". I am so pissed I could spit!!!

The man is 45, just got out of rehab for drugs and alcohol, has no car, no license (DWI), no job, and lives in the half way house. He also already has 4 kids who he does not take care of (his ex has custody, she's a winner too). They are somehow great kids. The oldest pretty much takes care of the rest of them by herself while he is passed out somewhere.?

Three of my friends have been trying for YEARS to get pregnant. They are all happily married with jobs and want a baby more than anything. ?

Why do things like this happen?!

Also, this means that our child will be only 2 months older than this one of his, so they will be playing together at family gatherings. For some reason this really aggravates me!!!

I think it's the hormones but I have not been able to relax about this. OOOHH I am so mad!!!!!!?

    Last time I checked, being in rehab did not negatively affect your fertility.

    Having gone through IF myself, yes it is unfair. Having to struggle through something that comes to easily to others is incredibly painful. Yet at the same time, I am grateful for my struggle. It has made me a stronger person and made my faith stronger. I do not take my pregnancy for granted, and I enjoy it so much more having gone through IF.

    Very sad! I know what you mean..... It still breaks my heart I have a friend who have tried for years and can't and then people who can't take care of themselves and do everything wrong have too many kids that they can't care for. WTF!

    Someone said the universe is cruel.  I think it's more 'random' than cruel.

    It is sad...  I have a very close friend who had been trying for over 5 years with the diagnosis of "you'll never have another child" (she has one).   It was very hard for her and her husband.  I have such a respect for her for what they have gone through. However, thank God, she concieved recently to everyone's surprise.   I can only imagine she felt the same anger at times though.

    This could be a post about my DH's brother, only he hasn't been to rehab. He just smokes weed and is lazy all of the time. 25 and still living at his mom's house (who is severely mentally sick, actually) and does nothing to help.

    ....and yet he has 3 children from 2 different women.

    I just pray for those that are having trouble TTC. It is def not fair.

    Agreed! During my husbands last deploment I wantched a friend miscarryu at 8 wks. Our husbands were overseas for 6 more months and she had a 3yr old to deal with.  It was really hard.  All the while we watched another friend drink and complain about being pregnant! It was as if she threw it in her face.  liek look what i can do.  We prayed for her baby to be ok, it wasn't his fault his mom was an idiot.

     There is no good reason though.  I have another friend who just got pregnant that we are all kind of like "they should really make people apply for this" and then another set that just announced that they are adopting.

     I wouuldn't worry too much about the family gathering though. If he is the winner you mentioned I doubt he will make too many of thouse =)
