We started DD on milk yesterday. She LOVES it...like can't get enough. We just put it in her sippy - the bottle is for formula only. She's already down to one bottle a day, so when we run out of formula in a few days, she's going to be solely on milk (well, and the 3 meals and several snacks she gets each day). Just wondering if anyone else has taken the plunge?
Re: Anyone do the switch to milk?
Stella, no mixing. I wanted the end of formula to be a clean cut. We started making her night time bottle a night time bottle instead of a "bedtime" bottle a few months ago. And then we dropped that bottle all together a week or two ago. And recently she just sort of dropped her afternoon bottle. So I just don't want to buy a whole big can of formula at this stage of the game. I just put all milk in her sippy. Formula has always only been in bottles, never in the sippy. She usually has pear juice mixed with water in her sippy (used to be prune juice). She made a face at first, but then went nuts for it.
Whole milk until they're two.
whole.
i'm looking forward to transitioning to cow's milk from formula.
right now, i nurse dd twice a day. the rest of her liquids are bottles of formula.
