eye boogers

My lo left eye keeps getting green eye boogers all day, and its running. just the left. I don't think its serious enough to make a dr appt, what do you think? Being a 1st time mom I feel like I'm constantly going to the drs for nothing. Has this happened to any of your lo? TIA

    DS had this but his eye was red and it ended up being pink eye.  But before he was diagnosed, the nurse at the pedi's office said that sometimes babies will excrete a sinus infection through their eyes.

    LO had that in the NICU.. they would culture it and it always came back negative.. they gave her antibiotic drops at one point and it cleared up.  I would call the Dr and see if they want you to do anything.

    Claire's did this constantly as a newborn.  I was always just instructed to keep it clean by using a warm wet washcloth.  I might try that for a full day before going into the dr's office.  You are more likely to pick up something even worse while in the waiting room!
