We had an ultrasound today and learned that we are having twins!!! They are fraternal with their own individual sac and placenta. H and I are still in shock. Our parents are thrilled! We havent even told all of our family and friends yet so it's gonna be kind of funny telling people we are pregnant and oh btw with twins too! I have two sets of twin cousins and my great grandmother was a twin so they do run in the family.
Anyway, that's my news for the day....
Re: OMG we are having TWINS!
That is so cool!
Congrats!

WOW. Congrats! Double the fun!
My family keeps kidding me about twins since I started later than the rest of them--they had their families very young.
Twins run in both DHs and my family (I have a set of triplets in there too). His paternal great-grandfather was a twin, and on my maternal side my great-grandmother's sisters were twins, and my grandfather's brothers were twins on opposite sides of the family.
Did you have any premonition that you might be carrying two?
Thanks ladies! yes, this was my first ultrasound....it was for the NT screening. I'm glad I opted to get it done or else who knows when I would know!!
I heard a heartbeat about a week and a half ago but the nurse wasnt looking for two. I'm surprised because dont doctors check your HCG levels every visit? Wouldnt levels be elevated with twins? Oh well, at least now we know!!
I'm seeing double!!! AHHH!
I was going to a clinic for the first couple of appointments, but have since moved to a private practice, but as for the clinic, I knew they took urine but they never actually said what it was. So when women talk about their HCG levels, I huddle in the corner.. all alone.. haha.
Oh, and CONGRATS! What a great early Christmas present
OMG - Congrats!
P.S. May 25 is a great day!
Congrats!
I hope I have twins too... that would be sooo amazing!
Congrats!
I've never had HCG levels checked. We found out it was twins via u/s. We don't have a family history, however.
