Heartbeat via Doppler Question

Hi Ladies,

At my next appointment I will be 10 weeks 5 days.  I don't think I will have an ultrasound because I had one at 6 weeks 5 days (got to see the heartbeat, it was amazing!).  My question is has anyone heard the hearbeat via doppler as early as 10 weeks 5 days?

    I'm 12w1 day. At my last appt I was 11w5d and they attempted the doppler, but weren't able to find the heartbeat. They weren't able to find it at 7w5d either.

    Both times the doctor did an u/s to pick up fetal tones, and the baby is 199 hpm, so all is well! Everyone is different though, and at 10 weeks they may be able to pick yours up.

    I had my second appt last week at 9 weeks 6 days.  She said it was probably too early to hear the heartbeat, but tried anyways after I promised not to freak out if she couldn't find it.  She said that she heard it twice, but couldn't get it back to hear it steady.  At that point, she was on a mission!  I did hear a little galloping sound for just a second.  My OB was smiling and convinced that she heard it, so that made my day!

    Last week at 10w6d they weren't able to find it with the doppler, but found a great healthy heartbeat on an ultrasound.  So don't stress too much, it's still early.

    My doctor was able to find it no problem at 9 1/2-10 weeks. I was really surpised.

    I had my second prenatal visit at 10.5 weeks as well and the doc warned me that we may not be able to pick up the heart beat on the doppler either, but we did! It took several seconds, but once she found it and held the doppler steady, we listened to it for a good 30 seconds. It just all depends on the angle the baby is at in your uterus I think. Good luck! I wanted to take that doppler thing home with me!

    With DD I heard hers (at home) at 10 weeks. I just tried today & got it a couple times, but no more than a few beats before I lost it.

    A lot of it depends on your size too.

    I heard it last week at 10 weeks exactly!  It took a few minutes to find it, but it was there!

    I was 10w3d when we first heard the heartbeat- at 170bpm! It was amazing!! But my NP did say it was early. Closer to 12w the chances of hearing it are greater.
