Cramping is it normal

I am 7 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I am still cramping on and off. I am a little worried because it feels like period cramping, anybody experiencing this? I also have like no symptoms is that normal?

Re: Cramping is it normal

  • I had some mild cramping at that point also. I never had any morning sickness or other symtoms really.

  • OMG I FREAKED out every time I cramped early. Most of the time it is normal. Try drinking more water, that may help.

If you are not bleeding, or expierencing horrible, worse than period cramps, then most likely you are fine. If you start spotting though, I would call your ob so they can verify a heartbeat.

FYI my SIL said she cramped her whole pregnancy with her second.

  • as long as there is no bleeding. If it gets too bad or you get worried, put a call into the doc to ease your fears.

  • I am 9 weeks and it seems like I have been having cramping on and off for the past 3 weeks.  I have not had many symptoms either.  My doctor said I am lucky and the cramping is normal.
  • I was cramping so much last week that I kept rushing to the bathroom afraid that I would see blood. No matter how often I read that it's normal, it still worries me.

    same for me.

  • Completely normal.  It's your uterus stretching and making room for the baby.  As long as there is no bleeding and it doesn't get worse than a period cramp, you're fine. I've had them now for weeks and have found that taking a warm bath or laying on a heating pad for a little bit usually helps.  Also, sometimes doing a little stretching or yoga can help relax the muscles as well.
  • I would suggest calling your doctor.  While it may be normal for one, it may not be for another.  The only way to know is ask your doctor.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but really, best to call.
