I laughed and cried last night and watched twice to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Here are my thoughts....
Old man Cooper killed it in this episode. Calling Jane a trollop and threatening to lock Harry in the closet? Brilliant!
Betty is going from one bad situation to another.
Peggy and Don's scene was the best ever. I cried when he told her he would spend the rest of his life trying to hire her.
Joan is fierce and I have a feeling she will start back up with Roger.
I miss Sal.
Anyone else?
Re: Can we talk Mad Men? *spoilers ahead*
Almost as good as the 2nd season finale.I don't think anything can ever top Peggy telling Pete what happened.
I miss Sal too! I was expecting him to be in their new "office". Wishful thinking for next season!
I miss Sal too. I loved his character. Maybe he will show up later. I love Joan. I have loved everything she has done as an actress. DH and I have a special place in our hearts for anyone who was in Firefly.
I think Betty is being weird. She took the baby but left the older kids with the nanny? I didn't understand that.
I think it is awesome they are starting their own firm. It will be cool to see them grow. I wish they had not brought Pete, never liked his character.
I loved Cooper. I loved him telling off Sterling. It was priceless. I thought Cooper worshiped Sterling and he could do no wrong. I guess he let some of his true feelings out.
No one else watches this show?? You all are missing out - this is the best show on TV!
LOVED last night's episode and I'm sad that we'll likely to have to wait until the end of next summer (if not longer!) before finding out what happens next. I'm guessing season 4 will start out maybe 6 months or so from where the finale ended, and maybe the new firm will have their own office and a larger staff.
Loved seeing Don tell Peggy and Pete how much they meant to him, and wish he could do that in his personal relationships. I would have loved to have heard him tell Betty that he'll spend the rest of his life trying to win back her love and trust. Can't wait to see how that all plays out, and I can't see Betty being happy with Henry at all. I think that flight from NYC to Reno will be the longest stretch of time they've ever spent together, not to mention the six weeks they'll live there! (assuming he stays with her, not sure his job would allow for that).
Still waiting to see how they bring Sal back. Lucky Strike is the "golden porkchop" of the new firm, and the account that got Sal fired.
I guess I'll be watching seasons 1 and 2 and reruns to tide me over until next year!
Hershey- DH is a huge Firefly fan too!
Sheila- I totally agree about Betty and Henry. She looked miserable and did you notice there was a seat between them on the plane? Warning bells went off when he said he would take care of her and don't take money from Don.
Also forgot to say that DH and I laughed so hard when Pryce said "Very Good. Happy Christmas!"
