1st Trimester

Lesson learned from last time.

If, and I hope I don't, but if I get m/s with this pregnancy I will fill my prescription for Zofran.  I didn't fill it last time because I was so leery of taking anything while I was pregnant.  I felt like I was a strong enough person to handle it.  Looking back, boy was I stupid.  I was sicker than a dog, throwing up numerous times a day from six weeks to 15 weeks.  It seemed to be at its worst from 4pm to 7pm.  I hated it!  I remember in my 14th week I would cry as I was throwing up because I just wanted it to stop.  I bought into the "once you are in the second trimester it will stop" boloney.  So at 13 weeks when I was still puking I was even more miserable.  Thank goodness it finally did stop at 15 weeks.  But nine weeks of constant puking is no fun for anyone.  It's one of the reasons I hated being pregnant.

So I learned my lesson.  If I get m/s again I will take Zofran or any other anti-nausea medicine my OB prescribes.  And I will love every single second of it.

Just thought I would pass on my experience.

  • My m/s with #1 lasted until 26 weeks, so I understand your pain. I didn't get my prescription for Zofran until I was 16 weeks and then my dog decided to eat my purse, including my precious prescription! I only got about 4 days of relief!

  • I threw up 4 times a day until 26 weeks with my 2nd and I never filled my Zofran Rx either.  I didnt really have to make a decision about it this time because my MS was not so bad during this PG.
