Babies: 9 - 12 Months

I do not understand this mornings drama...

DH and I have discuss the "what-ifs" of Lillian's future relationships.  We bothy agree whole-heartedly that we would never look down upon her for dating/marrying a person of a different race or religion.  And we would fully support her if she turned out to be a lesiban!  I don't understand the mindset of some people looking down upon others choices.  If they are happy healthy individuals not causing harm to you or me or anyone else, mind your own damn biznass!

  • I agree with everything, and DH agrees with MOST everything, he would very much prefer DS to not be gay, but said he would support him if he was.  I just want him to do what is good for him.

Yea, your sister chooses some winners!  BUT, my sister is straight, and chooses guys who are just as bad!  Trust me, I have many'a stories about her choice in men.  =)  I no longer get involved.

  • Well, DH and I agree that DD's are never getting married.  If we allow them too, we will choose their husband for them.  Lol.  We want them to stay babies forever!

For real though, as long as my daughters partners (man or woman) treat them with respect and make them happy, that is all I ask.

  • it's because there are a lot more effed up bigoted azzholes out there than we can ever dream of.

i'm hoping that they'll eventually just disappear by attrition.  but i fear they are passing their crazyass values onto their offspring, who lack the critical thinking capabilities to understand that their parents are ignorant.

This is how DH and I feel too.  Although I may have selfishly commented several times that I hope DS is gay so I can have another son rather than a DIL!  Sigh, I must not be that MIL, I must not be that MIL, etc.

  • No kidding, Garnet! Plus, Quinn's present looks kinda remind me of Jenny Shimizu, Angelina Jolie's ex-girlfriend. LOL!

  • I dont really understand all the drama either. When I was much younger..in my mid teens I dated guys of various races. Black, Dominican, Puertorican (sp?) had a huge crush on a Pakistani. I never thought there was anything wrong with it. My dad met the black guy (i think he was mixed he was very light skinned) he liked him. Then one day he took his hat off and had cornrows. His hat clearly said 'too black too proud'  My dad didnt know he was black until he saw the corn rows. Then he wouldnt talk to me or get out of bed for 2 days! I thought it was rediculous!

There are many gays in my family. All on my dads side. An aunt, a great aunt and a cousin. We accept them just the way they are.
