BM Gifts

I've seen a few websites for BM Gifts-they were in my favorites and now it's gone.  So if you've bought one for your BM can you tell me what it was and where you got it...we have a few ideas of our own already-but I would like to see what others have done to broaden our list a bit. :)

    Our placement was about 2 months after birth. We did meet w/ BM, but it ws about 2 weeks prior to TPR, so we didn't think it was appropriate to give a gift then.  Our open arrangement involves on visit a year, so we are planning to give our gift then.  I looked around a TON and decided on a necklace from junkposse (a seller on etsy).  I ordered the necklace a few weeks ago in prep for our mtg in Nov...it's amazing and came all nicely packaged for gift giving!  Also, she donates a portion of her proceeds to different adoption funds...her shop is def worth a look:)

    We're still looking into things, but Red Envelope had a pendant where you could put the child's initial and their birthstone in it. I thought that would make a really neat BM gift.

    At the hospital, we gave Z a bag with a magazine, a pair of slipper socks, and some candy.  We also gave her a bear from Build -A-Bear.  We made the same bear for Zoe.  There's a picture of it in my siggy.  Each month I'll take her picture with it and send it to Z.  Then she'll see how big Zoe's getting.

    For Christmas, we will probably buy her a necklace - either with a heart or Zoe's birthstone.  I also received a beautiful gift from a friend that would work as a birthmom gift, too - It's a silver bracelet from Brighton.  It has 4 charms on it:  Z (for Zoe), Z for Z, W for me, and a heart with little pink feet on it.  It's so pretty and so meaningful. 

    Like Dr. Loretta was saying, I like Red Envelope's jewelry, too - they have pretty things.

    We gave Q's birth mom an engraved silver frame with his birth stats.  I ordered it from Red Envelope.  ;-)

    Sundance Catalog has some cool birthstone items.  A little more hip than RE, but also a little more expensive.

    we gave our birthmom a blanket/quilt that i had made to match the crib bedding that i made for our baby girl.  That was the present we gave her at the baby shower.  At the hospital, we have a build-a-bear that is exactly like the one she gave us when she told us that she picked us and that we were having a girl!  So now both her and our daughter will have one.  She is also getting a custom made necklace made through https://www.etsy.com/shop/therhouse  with both her birthstone and our baby girl's birthstone plus the baby's name and a heart. And of course, another basket of stuff she will want after delivery like nursing pads, a season of The Office, her fave candy, soda, just little things like that.  We love our birthmom and will have a very open adoption (we meet about every 1 to 2 weeks right now because we live fairly close).  Good luck finding what you need!
