looked so hard for something that you begin to question if you even own it anymore? Lol...I have been looking for my brand new fondue pot and I have about run out of places to look! I'm sure my mom gave me one for Christmas and I *finally* have an oppurtunity to use it, but I can't find the darn thing. So here I sit with some good fondue recipes and no fondue pot in sight!

DH suddenly decided he wanted to watch some VHS tapes the other night, so I heard all this rummaging through closets while trying to put DD to sleep. We determined we must have put them in storage, and are currently debating whether it would be more efficient to rummage through storage, or just buy the set on DVD.

Yes- except that I really didn't have the item!
I was looking high and low *everywhere* for our waffle iron. Finally one day DH asked what I was looking for and I told him. He informed me that we have never owned one. I was absolutely sure we did...I even described it in great detail.
Well, we were at my parents house one night for dinner and DH was cooking. He called me into the kitchen, opened a cupboard and pulled out the exact waffle iron I'd been describing.
LOL.
This happened to me when I was looking for a pass to get into a locked building. I remembered putting it in a specific drawer but couldn't find it for months. I turned everything upside down, including both of our cars thinking that I might have left the pass in there. Lo and behold, where do you think I found it? In the same drawer I put it in...three months I looked for that stupid thing! Ugh!
I hope you find your fondue pot soon. That's kind of a big thing to not be able to find
No kidding, lol! I did find it...in the kitchen where it belongs
. I was so sure it was in our storage room with other appliances/dishes that get used, just not on a regular basis to warrant kitchen space. I even looked behind our bar, thinking I put it there for entertaining purposes, lol. Here it was behind some cooking bowls in my island.

I hate that! Just this week I tried to find my brand-new-last-winter fake Uggs (I know, hideous, but so comfy) to wear running errands with DD now that it's cold out, and they are nowhere to be found. How does a pair of boots disappear?!?
