It's still early but...

anyone have any ideas for decorating the nursery? A theme, color scheme.  I have always thought that no matter if I was having a boy or a girl I wanted to do a Noah's ark theme.

  • Aww! Me too! Love Noah's ark. Also like classic Pooh. :)

  • My friend did the classic Pooh, it came out so nice.

  • I LOVE the Two by Two bedding (though I doubt I'll use it); it's by Kidsline. If you're ever able to see it in person, it has amazing colors and textures.

Maybe you can google it in the meantime. The good thing is, b/c it is early, you have plenty of time to look and decide!

  • I'm doing a star, moon and sun themed nursery (because of the peanut's first stuffed animal). Pottery Barn has the CUTEST bedding set with a matching quilt you can get embroidered with the name/date.
  • I have some ideas but don't want to get my mind set on anything before we know if we're having a boy or girl.
  • If we have a boy, he is going to have a sports themed nursery. If we have a girl, she will have a pink, orange, and yellow jungle animal theme. Can't wait to decorate!

  • We aren't finding out the baby's sex, so I'm thinking Classic Winnie the Pooh.  I liked the idea of safari/jungle animals, but all the ones I've seen still seem kind of boyish

  • Jungle themed.  I've found a couple cute bedding sets for each sex, just waiting to find out which one to purchase!
  • I can't wait!  One idea I have is a zoo theme -- my DH and I got engaged at the zoo!

DH and I's first date was at the zoo :-)

  • For a girl, we are going for a "Mother Goose" nursery rhyme theme. My MIL is a fabulous artist and we are going to get her to do a mural of popular nursery rhyme characters like Humpty Dumpty, Goldilocks and the 3 bears etc etc. For a boy, we like the preppy Nantucket theme with plaid and a big blue, spouting whale on the wall.
