Sore boobs- weird HPT

So my boobs aren't sore today and I don't feel nauseaus... which of course is freaking me out thinking something is wrong so I send hubby to drugstore for another HPT to make me feel better-

I take the test and the pregnancy line comes up immediately but the control line doesn't... now the control line is FAINT....
So of course I am freaking out and we are about to have company over... I suck!

Re: Sore boobs- weird HPT

  • Odd. Maybe the test line took all the dye. But you are definitely pregnant. There will be days you don't feel pregnant and days that you really do. Even though you will see so many symptoms here, there is also a large group with no symptoms and that's ok too. Enjoy your company mama.

  • I think only one of the lines is really dark - that's what happened to me! Don't worry - also, my boobs aren't as sore during the day and it hurts to even lay on my side at night - so, maybe your times where they hurt are different...don't worry!
  • I agree with the other ladies.  You are fine, just relax and be glad that you don't feel yucky for your company!  I go through the same thing, some days I don't feel anything, and other days I do.

I think that if you feel great today that means everything IS great!  Have an awesome time with your company and enjoy your day!!

  • Don't worry - you will have days that are completely devoid of symptoms and then some symptoms will go away completely and others will take their place. Just enjoy the days you feel normal :)

This is almost certainly what happened.  I read a couple of posts at one point a while back from ladies who had actually called First Response because they were worried about this very problem.  The explanation given was that there was so much pregnancy hormone in the urine that most of the dye got bound to the test line, causing a very faint control line.  Since it wicks past the test line first, there just wasn't enough dye left to make a dark control line.

Do NOT worry.  A line is a line is a line.   Also don't worry about your symptoms coming and going.  It is totally normal for them to fluctuate.
  • Symptoms coming and going aren't an indicator you're still pregnant.  Your symptoms will, hopefully, lessen and/or get better over time and there is nothing to worry about.  Quit wasting $$ on HPT's!  :)
