have you started using your highchair? at what age was your little one ready to sit in the highchair? we use the bumbo currently to feed my daughter, she is getting cereal only so far. but I am curious when others started to use their high chairs?
Four months when we started solids. He could have sat in this high chair sooner than four months (not for eating obviously). Between the straps, the cushioned sides, the reclining feature - it works well.
My philosophy is that children should learn to eat where they are suppose to eat. Consistency and routine are what help LOs adjust to new situation IMO. So feeding for us consists of him in the high chair and in the kitchen. We eat with him.
At four months old. It reclines a good bit so she could have sat in it before then. We use it for more then just eating. She loves to sit in it and play.
I just started using it in the last few days since I've began giving him some solids. Our reclines, so I like to have him sit up to eat fruits/vegs, and then recline him so that he can drink up some formula too. Works out great.

4 months when we started solids. DD grew out of her Bumbo pretty quickly, between fat thighs and the strength to tip it over. And she has LOVED the high chair since day one. She like to sit in and play even when she isn't eating.

We haven't started solids yet, but LO just got his Stokke Tripp Trapp (early Christmas gift) this weekend. We wanted to include him in the social interaction that goes on during meals, hence switching to the higher chair (he was in a bouncy seat during dinner prior to this.)
