she didn't actually HAVE sex.

I wanted to have sex with DH while we were still in the hospital.

I didn't obviously, but having a baby and seeing what our two sorry ass bodies were able to do was very romantic.

I don't see what's so flame worthy about that.

It was the context she put it in. If she said what you just said, it would have been completely different.

I think both sides of this whole thing are being a bit silly, but it seems that luckyabby (I think, not even sure who she is) is doing so on purpose, to ruffle some 0-3 feathers. And I think it's hysterical that it's clearly working.

That said, I see nothing wrong with wanting some action one week PP. I wouldn't do it, but nothing wrong with wanting it.

My favorite thing was the "she's an idiot who's starving her kid" comment because she doesn't wake her baby every 2-3 hours to feed. I never woke my kids to feed them. I let them wake when they were hungry. Apparently, us "idiots" can raise healthy kids too. LOL.

Hmm. Her wording was a bit boastful but nothing to go wishing her pregnant 1 week post partum over.

And to be completely honest a lot of the responses did actually sound jealous that she has a sex drive right now.

I'm just saying what I see, and trust me, I'm not lucky abby fan. By no stretch of the imagination

She didn't say she's going to go for it but obviously she's excited to have normal comfortable pre-pg sex again and her hormones are pumping... jesus they freaked out on her, I think it's great and only normal for her to feel that intimate with her hubby after the birth of the baby..

hmmm. i think it was the 20 stitches w/ no pain part that did it. I know w/ a 2nd degree tear and a screaming child, I was no where near wanting anything in the vicinty of my vag. We did have sex at 4 weeks PP though before I was cleared---bad bad me.

I don't see what the big deal is. She has her sex drive back good for her I sure as hell won't feel that way (I am trying to convince DH it is 6 weeks although my OB keeps saying 4 or 5)

I happened to see quite a few bronze and silver posters with babies in the 0-3 month range being "funny" in that post. Just sayin'.

With my first I stopped bleeding after 6 days. It can happen.

I don't see the problem with her saying she wants to have sex. Hopefully she and her DH will find a way to satisfy her without having sex because that wouldn't be good for those stitches.

I haven't checked out the link to her original post but about the 20 stitches thing. It is possible. With DD I had an episiotomy and I tore pretty bad as well. Almost all the way. My doc sent me home with a HUGE bottle of Loritab for the pain. I took it the first day or two PP but didn't need it after that. My big issue was going to the bathroom and being afraid I'd pop a stitch. The billy lamp they set me up with at the hospital and a lot of sitz baths (like as soon as I but her down for a nap I was in the tub) really hepled with the healing and I credit that to why I had no real pain. Just take things easy and go slow, try not to overdue, and follow docs directions to the letter. I agree abby is a huge AW. Honestly I was kind of glad when she had her baby and moved on to 0-3. But it is very possible to have very minimal pain after a huge tear. Just saying.

I believe she had an emergency c/s. She was induced early and it lead to a c/s if I remember correctly, so her incision would be on her abdomen. Because of this, she would also have less bleeding. I think location matters.

I delivered vaginally and I was only induced a day early. He still came on his due date. silly little monkey.
