I love SNL! Haven't watched it much at all since dd arrived.
I also have a funny story about SNL. My mom and I went to NYC in April of 2008 and really wanted to go see it. How is works is that you go stand in line super early in the morning to get a ticket then you go back that afternoon for either the dress or live show.
Well we got up ridiculously early, walked over to 30 rock and were like 'what the eff is going on?!' There were people lined up all down the streets is masses with cops and road blocks everywhere. We couldn't reach the nbc building.
We went up to a police man and asked if we could get by to go stand in line for the snl tickets. We got a POLICE ESCORT past the baracades (with loads of people staring at my mom and I) and finally got into the building.
Well come to find out we got up early for nothing. That was the weekend that the pope was in town and why the baracades and people were everywhere.
I'm still bummed out about it.

well it was a rerun that night (obviously) but the next weekend (which was NOT clarified on the website) was Amy Adams. Which would have been soooo fun!!
