Is this true for you too? re: holidays

This is my first child and I just feel like life has been breathed into the holiday season again.  The holidays have always been nice, but it just feels even more special now that he is here.  It is like I am a kid again along with him, being excited to decorate, wrap gifts, etc.  Even though he won't remember it, this will probably be the best Christmas yet.

  • So true. I love Christmas to begin with but having L makes it even more exciting! I can't wait to start all our traditions with him. I know he won't remember but I will make sure to record it all on camera & video for him.

  • I normally hate Christmas, but lately I find myself getting excited about putting up a tree, finding that perfect 1st Christmas ornament, and wrapping up some presents for C.  Perhaps my heart has grown three sizes since having a baby.
    I HAVE CHILDREN.
  • Yes! I feel the same way and I think you worded it so well. I am so excited to watch DD experience her first Thanksgiving and Christmas.
  • I'm usually pretty Christmas-crazy, but it has definitely been elevated to a new level this year!

  • Yes, I pretty much cry when I think about it.  I saw a onesie at Baby Gap the other day . . . Christmas theme with a red box and the words, "the best gift."  And seriously, I got teary.  LOL.

There's just a lot more meaning this year.

  • I get so excited about every holiday now that I have Ry. I think there is something special about Christmas though.

I just bought this onesie today! I have always loved the holidays, but once I got married, it changed. We didnt really decorate and it kind of became a hassle to travel visiting families. Now that she is here though, I have a renewed energy and cant wait to get our tree up, her stocking all ready and presents under the tree! I am especially excited for Christmas Eve church service, because she as a beautiful little dress!

  • yep, except i'm still not putting up a tree!!
