TTC After a Loss

In 10 minutes I am having a Thangsgiving dinner!

We are hosting Thanksgiving this year and DH wanted to smoke a Turkey.   So today he did a trial run since he never smoked a Turkey before and used triple sec in the brine and the sauce so it?s going to be interesting.  He even made mashed potatoes/gravy and stuffing.

It looks really good.  At first I was creeped out because of the cloth wrapping AKA mummified Turkey but it sure kept the flavorings and sauce in place so I am impressed with that.

Come on over! It would be so fun if we can all eat together.

  • Impressive. Think he'd be willing to fly out to KY to teach my dh how to do that!

I love my dh dearly, but he's very old fashioned when it comes to cooking and cleaning........I'm spoiled in a lot of ways, but cooking/cleaning just isn't one of them!

Now if it's fixable on the grill---he'll do it......minus that---it's all me!

  • Yummy enjoy Thanksgiving Take 1
