Re: anyone else having problems with pre-natal vit?
I was starting to feel sick taking regular vitamins before I was KU. Then I got a prescription PNV (don't know if that made a difference or not), but made sure to change to taking it with dinner so I always have food in me first. (Was taking it in the morning...whether or not I eat breakfast is a lot more variable for me.) Haven't had a problem since!
Hope you feel better...GL!
I know if I don't take vitamins with meals they make me feel sick. Try a glass of milk or small meal.
I take Raw Vitamin Code Pre-natal, which are supposed to be easier for your body to accept and digest. They are uncooked, untreated, and don't contain any fillers. They are a little more expensive then a generic brand but I really like them.
https://www.thevitamincode.com/Formulas/MultivitaminFormulas/RawPrenatal/tabid/1821/Default.aspxI'm going to be no help here:
I have some OTC pnvs that I've been using. I got them at whole foods and they're supposed to be easier to digest because they're food-based. They smell horrible, which makes my stomach turn, and I'm supposed to get 6x day. Needless to say with the smell, I've only been choking down 2-3 day. Sorry, baby. We'll get some rx ones from Dr.
Taking vitamins suck!! I actually upchucked them 3 nights ago and I'm not even pregnant yet! Ugh (although to be honest I tried to take them before dinner, empty stomach = bad idea!)
The only tip I have for you is that its easier to swallow them if you drink through a straw.
Yes, for the sickness i've heard to take them before bed
