Bad idea to wear silk dress?

I have an event to go to this afternoon and plan on wearing a black silk dress. However, I'm still nursing and will bring DS with me...so I'll be nursing him when needed.  It's been a long time since I've dressed up so will this be a bad fashion mistake? I'm afraid some milk might get on my dress and I will walk around with wet spots on my dress?  I really like the dress but if bad idea I'll have to run out to find something to fit.

    Wear what you feel most comfortable in, if you're worrying about it now you maybe worrying about it the whole time and not able to fully enjoy yourself?

    If I have my baby, I expect that I will be covered in wet spots be it milk, spit up, whatever. I just wear whatever I want - I could care less if I have spots or not. I would wear the dress anyway.

    i'd say go for it, maybe bring some form of cardigan or shawl to cover it should something happen.

    I would, but wear some good nursing pads.  I have yet to leak out of Lasinoh pads. I wear them all day.  can't do that with my washable ones or Gerber.
