Proactiv?

I love my Proactiv, but have heard using it could cause birth defects...  Anyone hear if this is true?

    Some skin products can be harmful, but from what I've heard Proactive isn't one of them... a friend of mine used hers all through her pregnancy and has a perfectly healthy baby.  Talk to your OB about it or give them a call, I'm sure that's a common question - let us know what they say, too!

    I believe the acne fighting chemicals  ( such as benzoyl peroxide  and salicylic acid) used in the product are some you should stay away from during pregnancy.

    As a side note, you EDD is a good date. It's my birthday Smile. GL!

    There are some chemicals found in facial creams/ cleansers that are not recommended for use while pg. I'd ask your OB for a list.

    my Dr said benzoyl peroxide is ok to use while pregnant.  Salacylic acid & some other stuff is not.  I also use Proactiv.

    DD1 born 5/24/10.

    Missed M/C at 14 wks Feb 2012.

    DD2 born 5/14/13.

    Missed M/C at 9 wks July 2015.

    Expecting someone new 4/17/17.

    My OB said it's fine.  I used it my last pregnancy and am using it again.

    My OB said its fine.  It was the first thing I asked after I made my 1st appt.
