Babies: 9 - 12 Months

What would you do?

Tomorrow, we have an opportunity to get DS' H1N1 shot (the first one).  We have had shortages of the vaccine, so every clinic we plan on going to has been "postponed" so far.  The problem is, he has his 6 month shots (a bit late, I know) on Tuesday.  Should I chance him getting the shot and risking a fever for Tuesday which would make me have to reschedule his other shots?

  • Can he get the H1N1 shot at the same time as the other shots?

We're not getting it for DS so I have no other advice. Sorry.

we have a GP, and he doesn't give the needles in his office, thus leaves it up to Public Health (the people giving the H1N1 shot and his 6 month needles).  Otherwise I would...and I probably would have anyway, but he was out sick
  • I would get the H1N1. You can get the other ones anytime and they won't be short on stock like the H1N1 is.

thanks..  I think that is what we will do.

  • DS is getting his 6 month vax in 2 weeks.  Our GP has decided to do one 6 month vaccine and the h1n1 shot instead of the two 6 month vax.

When we go back in 3 weeks for the 2nd half of the h1n1 shot, he'll get the other 6 month vaccine.
