I work 1 shift a week (usually Saturday 2-8) as a receptionist at a retirement community.
Not to give my life story, but I work just enough hours to pay my student loan bill each month. I made some bad financial decisions with loans and don't think DH should have to foot that bill.
I am home right now on maternity leave until end of December/beginning of January, but will be returning to work (28 hours a week) as a physical therapist. I will be working 3 days a week, with DH home those days with Evan. We plan on doing this until he is one (as long as my work continues to approve it) and then we will decide from there what we will do (ie. daycare, etc...).
I do want to add that I so feel extremely lucky that the agency that I work for lets us arrange our schedules like that. I know that is not the case in a lot of full time situations....a lot of women would not have that choice.
I go back in 2 weeks, I've been out since April, bed rest and then maternity leave. I will be going back full time, I would love to be a SAHM but we just can't afford it. Especially since I've only been at half pay for more then half of the pregnancy. DH and I have been trying to find me something part time or even something I can do from home. No luck yet though.

I was home with Gavin for 4 months on maternity leave, then went back to teaching full time. When we decided to move to NY from Ohio, I decided I wouldn't get my teaching license here, so I'm a stay at home mommy and a Tastefully Simple consultant. I usually work about 5 parties a month, so about 15-20 hours a month.
I stay at home but do occasional freelance design work on the side (wedding invites, baby photos and announcements, party invites) I hope to really start working hard at it after the kiddos get a bit older.
I stay home. Thinking about getting a PT job in the spring?(a couple nights a week while DH is home w/ Ev) We are hoping to build a new house next year, so a bit of extra $ will be nice.
I am SAHM. I hadn't planned to be, but when Tyler was born he cried non-stop! I really worried about anyone else, even my DH, would throw him out the window after a few hours of listening to the screaming. So I was fortunate to work it out to stay at home.
I work full time - but it is 4 10-hour days. It is retail, so half are 8-6 and half are 11-9 with every third weekend. That really doesn't work with most daycares. DH works 20 hours - just Fridays and Saturdays and watches Elizabeth the other days. And then my mom comes over every third Saturday.
I am just starting back to doula work, but I can work as many/few hours as I want for postpartum jobs. I am going to start doing births in February as long as we figure out child care for Tess if both DH and I are gone overnight.
