Phew Brendan got ....

his first H1N1 vaccine today. We just happened to be at the pediatricians office because my cousin was diagnosed with H1N1 on Tuesday and she was with him basically all day last Saturday. So her doctor recommended getting him tested for the virus. Last we were at the pedis she was only getting the mist, today she had a hand full of the shots and was holding onto one for Brendan. WOOOHOOO! It was fate that we were there today. She isn't sure if they will be sending her the second on, but she is hoping, and if so he will get it when we go in next month for his 18 month appointment. Smile

It made my cousin feel better too that not only does he not have H1N1 but because of her he not got the vaccine Smile

Phew is right! I am glad you were able to get one because they do say even if you are not able to get the second dose that one is better than nothing. We called two weeks ago to get it and our appointment is finally this Monday. I have been having panic attacks that they will call me and tell me they ran out! My cousin has it (8th grader) and my brother's best friend's mother has it. Two people I know in town is enough for me!
