XP: sign of m/s?

I am 4w3d and I know this sounds so gross, but I have had a major increase in saliva. It seems to occur right after I eat, sometimes first thing in the morning, and when I smell certain foods (such as a friend's starbuck's this morning). Should I consider that a sign that morning sickness is just around the corner? That is a new sign that I have never had before with my previous 2 m/cs. It is so bad it makes me want to go spit. Nasty!!!! Smile

I havent experienced it, but I have read in several places that excess saliva is one of many pregnancy symptoms...not sure if it correlates with m/s though. I have m/s, but have never had excess saliva.

yuppers! I found that the excess saliva ended up making me gag....RLS suggested I try saltines, and it worked - as well as rinsing your mouth with water

I had the excess saliva for a couple weeks. It didn't really seem to relate to the m/s though. But I did read in a couple books that it is a normal symptom of pregnancy.

Ugh....me too! I'm 6 weeks and I have had so much saliva that I know I'm spitting a little when I talk. I also gagged in my sleep and choked. It is so flipping gross.
