Like, do they have cute, old names (Henry, Grace, etc) or more normal names (Jennifer, Michael).
My parents are Fred and Bonnie. The only other Fred I know was my Grandpa, and I work with another Bonnie, but she's the only other one.
**And a side note, my mom is a twin, and they have rhyming first and middle names. Do people do that anymore?
Re: What kind of names do your parents have?
My dad has a not cute old name--Oral.
My mom is Italian and named Anita.
My stepdad is a twin...and he and his twin brother have rhyming names. It's funny. I hope people don't still do that these days.
I can't say I have heard many rhyming names lately, but more same first letter. My BIL's are twins and their names are Patrick and Ryan, so maybe that theory is out the window.
Henry and Sue
Mom is Vicki (just Vicki), Dad was Roger, Stepdad is Fred. Definitely don't hear these anymore!
My grandma's were Ruth and Icie
my mom was Joan Emily--went by Joan
my dad was James William--went by Jim
My dad's is pretty common - Steve. You don't see too many baby Steves anymore, but they're around, I guess. My brother's name is Steve also, but he's 24.
My mom's is very flower-child - Starr. The rest of her siblings have really normal, no-nonsense names (James, Tina, Jason, Justin). I don't know how she wound up with Starr! But it fits her very well. I have never met anyone else with her name. I think it may be part of the reason I'm named Celeste.
I hear twins being named rhyming names a lot, still. I am not a big fan of it, nor am I a huge fan of twins being named names that sound really similar.
My dad's name is David (Dave) Wilmer and my mom is Robin Jean. My mom doesn't like her first name and both of them hate their middle names.
I hope my kids don't grow up to hate their names. I like mine just fine.
ETA: My step-dad's name is Francis Anthony--he goes by Tony. LOL.
Well my Mom has had 2 different names, her birth name, and the one my grandfather gave her when he adopted her at 2 years of age. She was born Teresa Gwen, but it was changed to Sandra Jo, and she goes by Sandy. My sperm donor, errr, my "father" is Bill (William), no idea on his middle name since he split before I was born.
My IL's were Sandy (Sandra) June and Ray (Raymond) David. My MIL has horrible name ideas. When she was pg with my SIL she desperately wanted to name her Raymona after FIL, but thanklfully he nixed it and chose Doreen instead, which isn't much better, imo. My husband was almost Leonardo, but ended up Leonard instead, which is so not my style.
my mom is greek, her name is Athena, no middle name.
My dad is after my grandfather, wade. and my bro is also wade as well.
