I cannot tell you how many times I've thanked my lucky stars that I bought kimono onesies for my daughters.
Not only is it just easier, because you don't have to pull it down over their precious little heads ... but ...
You don't want to have to pull a soiled onesie over a baby's face and head. Trust me. Whether it's full of the poo that escaped the diaper, or spit up or vomit that escaped their sweet little mouths, it's just simpler to unsnap a onesie than it is to pull it over their heads.
And you don't want to have to cut a onesie off your kid. Just my opinion.
Re: About Buying Onesies ... Just My Opinion
I know that I'm fortunate that it took this long, but we had our first blow-out yesterday. Not fun!
Where do you get your kimono onesies?
LOL
I'm not laughing too hard though, we know what happens when you do
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
LOL SeaSoul! I know they're not always the simplest, but I'd rather have a squirmy baby than one whose hair is covered in poo. LOL!!!
I was lucky. I got my kimono onesies at BabyStyle before they went bankrupt. Got tons of them for DD #1 that luckily DD #2 can now wear.
SmudgesMom -- if you check on Amazon, you can find some that come in packs.
Ela knows all too well the pain of cutting a onesie off her baby! Just the other day we had a couple of nasty leak-throughs, and I was so happy she was wearing a kimono onesie. Sure, my carrier, her overalls, her stockings and her onesie were covered in poo. But her head and hair were stink-free!
I actually never used them... Everyone said what you said, Ina, and I just never used them...
I guess it really depends on the kids, too. E never minded getting dressed and undressed and we rarely ever had blowouts...
I've pulled a few dirty onesies over her head but the shirt that was cut off was a whole new ball game....WOW! My dd has a huge head (97%tile) there was no way that poop covered onesie was getting over her head without poop getting allllll over her body, face and hair. We only used over the head onesies but in that case it did suck.
