Now, my sister sent me a link to what she wants to wear for her wedding, this summer. Grrrrr - I wish she didn't have such good taste. I will post it as a reply because it is giving me trouble for some reason.
The one I like is underneath it. Below that are photos of the one Gf likes. This is fun.

What is cool about her site is that you choose amoung a couple of fabrics. For those of us having two-bride weddings (no, not my sister) it might make sense to have the fabric match?? I dunno. I was looking for my sister, not for me. I am not there yet.

I'd say that more important than the fabric, the color should match. You don't want to wear off white and be standing next to a bright white. Not a good look.

I think the fabric and the color might have to match because the same color by different designers might be different, and white silk is not the same color as white satin. So knowing that we had the SAME 'white silk shantung' might be good. But, I suppose the length should probably match too. CAN'T THINK THIS FAR AHEAD or I will go crazy.
