Fan is baby's room?

So we do not have a ceiling fan in Evan's room, so I bought a small fan.  Do I turn it on and away from him.  The house is set at 68 during the day and 65 at night, but I am afraid of him getting cool, but I know that fans are good in reducing SIDs risk... (he sleeps in a sleeper/gown and fleece Swaddleme).  We have not used it yet.

  • we're going to look at fans this weekend...they say the baby will adjust to how you keep your house...If its too cold for you its cool for him...I think 68 is fine

  • We ran the ceiling fan during the summer, but he was in our room then. I had turned his fan to draw air up instead of down, but it is still pretty chilly. I have opted not to run it at all now. We have the temp at 68 during the day when we are there and 65 at night, his hands freeze but his body is warm!
  • I don't have the fan on bc it makes the angelcare monitor think there is motion.  I figure I would rather have the alarm go off if she does stop breathing than use the fan to prevent but not know right away.
